Ok, so I'm watching Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights. Now, I may've put a gloss on the original, but was it this bad? I mean, Katie is no Baby and Javier is DEFINITELY no Johnny. Not to mention the piss poor acting. The one thing it has over the original is the location. I really, really want to visit Cuba now, but only if I can go in the 1950s. I consider the original a classic, but I realize that I'm in a small minority.

But it is Swayzeriffic. Love the Swayz!

Ok, now that it's over I can say definitively that no, there's no way I'm putting a gloss on the original. This Havana Nights business is crap. Oh wow, you know, Jennifer Grey was no classic beauty but first off, that's a big part of the character. Second off, Grey can act. This ingenue in Havana Nights cannot. No sir. Shame on you, Swayze.
